Salesforce Setup Guide

Connect Site2CRM to Salesforce for instant lead sync.

What Syncs

Each new lead creates a Lead record in Salesforce with name, email, and company. That fits Salesforce's model: your team qualifies the Lead and clicks Convert, and Salesforce creates the Contact, Account, and Opportunity from it.

Setup Steps

  1. Go to Integrations > Salesforce
  2. Click Connect with OAuth
  3. Log in to your Salesforce org
  4. Click Allow to authorize
  5. Done - you'll see "Connected" status

Salesforce shows a standard security notice for apps not listed on the AppExchange. That notice appears for any directly connected app; click Allow to continue.

Requirements

  • A Salesforce edition with API access (Professional with API add-on, Enterprise, Unlimited, or Developer)
  • Permission to authorize connected apps (your Salesforce admin may need to approve it)

Lead Assignment

Use Salesforce's own lead assignment rules (Setup > Lead Assignment Rules) to route incoming leads to users or queues. Site2CRM creates the Lead; your rules take it from there.

Troubleshooting

"Insufficient privileges" error

  • Verify you have API access in Salesforce
  • Check your profile has "API Enabled" permission

Leads not appearing

  • Open the Leads tab and check the "Recently Viewed" or "All Open Leads" view; new leads are unassigned until your rules run
